Futurama - "A Clockwork Origin" - Talkback [8/12]

I knew Amy & Leela were abducted by cavebots and they'd evolve to be modern, I was suprised that they evolved into electromagnetic beings like Melvvar (sp?). :p

Wow. Loved the role reversal in the second half of the episode, with all the callbacks to the first half. And in the end, both the Professor and the orangutang guy had to admit that their ideas weren't mutually exclusive. This episode makes a really good point about compromise, but in a subtle and clever way.

It's Cubert. Q-Bert is this guy:

Anyway, I'm never sure what to make of Cubert as a character; sometimes the writers portray him as a friendless loser who's constantly bullied, as if they're trying to evoke sympathy from the audience for him, but on the other hand he's such an obnoxious character that he's hard to feel sorry for. But I admit that Zoidberg's "Good, 'cause I'm sick of him! Seriously. He's a terrible person!" line at the end made me laugh.
