Funny story

Was at the local watering hole with my wife and sipping a cold one. Friend of mine walks in with his wife and we start talking bikes, he rides an 07 Softtail.

Conversation going towards all the creature comforts I have (windshield, stereo etc) and how tough he is with nothing. His wife bitches a little about how he won't even put a back rest on it for her comfort.

I ask Joe (name changed to protect the guilty) how many miles he had on his bike and he proudly said almost 5000. I didn't say anything, just pulled out my iphone and showed him the pic of my odo clicking over to 50,000 miles on my 08.

Talk about a moment of silence

moral of story: you don't need no stinking creature comforts when you only average 1200 or so miles a year.
 
Typical, I have a few buds and get the same story from them, they think they are tough guys. My 06 RKC averaged about 8000 miles a year, my 10 Ultra is going to be far lower than that at least for this year( wife has broken ankle) But I am sure I will catch up to ny average. I have one friend that has 3000 miles on 06 heritage and another that bought his 05 wide glide 2 years ago with 7000 mile on it and he still hasn't rolled over 8k on it.
 
A friend of mine bought a chopper two years ago.
He LOVES that bike.
ALWAYS talking about it.
I was over a couple days ago and looked at his odometer.
365 miles
 
Very true!

I bought my RK when it was 2 year old and all the original did was add chrome and set and look at it........900 miles and dirt cheap!!!!
