Funimation to Stream Subtitled Toei Shows on Funimation.com

Lets hope so, otherwise we here in the U.S. may never have a legal way to view the series Dubbed!

but yea, I heard along time ago that Toei held the Rights to the Dr.Slump anime after Harmony Gold lost it, if thats True I'd love to see an english dub! I mean seriously its one of the Only Toriyama not to have a english dub! I find that Rediculous, there is no reason this anime should'nt have been dubbed by now!

SounRAB cool. I read a few chapters of the Slam Dunk manga and liked it and everyone seems to love Captain Harlock. With all the stuff Funimation and other companies have posted online, why bother having cable anymore? For the same price [or less] you could buy their DVD's.

Now all Funimation neeRAB to do is get the distribution rights to Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo from Illumitoon (or at least wake them up; they're practically next door to each other) and I'll be forever grateful.

I wish they were going to be released on DVD I'd be all over Galaxy Express. Stream isn't appealing at all for me, so I guess I'll pass.

Managed to catch an episode of Fist of the North Star on FUNimation's video site.

Video quality wise: inferior to Crunchyroll. The video looks severely washed out while Crunchyroll's broadcast had nice sharp video.

Audio quality wise: superior to Crunchyroll. Sound is a LOT more crisper.

Sub quality wise: The subs appear much more sharper on screen than the CR broadcast. But...no subbed songs though.

So basically, FUNimation's video site is good for audio and sub while Crunchyroll is good for video. It's pretty much split here.

I'm surprised that they are going to stream episodes of Digimon Adventure 02 when Crunchyroll already has about half of the series on their website. Maybe that's why they started to upload three episode per week up there since they might want to put another series on FUNimation.com. I'm glad that this does help out more people since they don't have to be merabers to view the site. I may check it out if FUNimation puts another series on their website that I'm interested in.

Toei... FUNimation... these two companies are working hand and hand for streaming videos of Toei anime and what is missing?

ONE PIECE

#U%@!#*$ STOP TOYING WITH ME TOEI!!!

What I want to know is, what kind of subtitle script will Pretty Cure use? On the press release, it mentioned the "Field of Light" (Hikari no Zono) and "Dotsuku Zone" (same in both versions), two of the translations used on the subtitle track by "Nippon Golden Network" (a Hawaiian cable network) which is used in the CR broadcast. Is FUNi just going to use that, or will they use their own translation (I've also heard "Garden of Light" and "Dark Zone")?

Anyhow, you all do realize that this might be test marketing for a possible DVD release, right? That said, IMO, it's likely that FUNi might have an "option" for these shows, since right now they're just being streamed online in subtitled form.
