Funimation to Host 'Virtual Con Panel' on Thursday

Okay, folks. FUNi is going to host a 'Virtual Con Panel' today at 5PM EDT/4 PM CDT on their blog.

Because they just don't have enough cons to go to to talk about their stuff.

I look forward to hearing what their plans are this time.

Whee!

Remeraber people, bug them with One Piece and DragonBox questions (because obviously nothing else matters...eheheh).

Nice questions here are mine(I will probally think up more)

Can you tell us how the movies will be included with the Dragon Box domestic release?

Can you give us a idea of what will be inside the Dragon Box book sets?

And last but not least, will we get the other extra's for the dragon boxes like rare commercials,tv specials etc?

The most news I can get: The Dragon Box will have no dubbed next episode previews, openings, or endings. The dub, as I've heard, was 'an afterthought'.

God, I can't wait to hear the DBox JPN mono, I hear it's almost as good as stereo!

I only caught the last 15 minutes or so, but that was very cool. I hope to see FUNi doing this again in the future. Yay for fan interactivity

If there's no dubbed openings, or endings then there is no point for me to get the Dragonbox. I hear the japanese version of Head Chala that I'm sick of it. Oh well...

I caught the end of it, and it was cool idea. I missed most of it since I just found out about it. I think he said it will be posted after, so I can watch it all then. Hopefully they do it again, with longer notice, so I can see the whole thing live and ask some questions.

Well I got my "Woohoo! Anime USA!" in, but not any of my 4-5 One Piece questions including:

How is the simulcast doing?
Is there any news concerning One Piece: Strong World?
Any news on Shodojo?

Lookin' at the way the set was pushed at Otakon (where FUNimation seemed to be pushing the 'hardcore = fans of the original Japanese version'), then the dropping of the Johnson/Faulconer track, I'm not sure if this should be surprising. I think I was a little surprised (I'd have loved to have dubbed vocal themes), nonetheless, but then you look at the grand scheme of things...it's an awful lot of money to spend and time to devote to something their 'core audience' for this set probably won't even bother with.
