FUNimation Licensing Blitz Coming

Last Exile.
How I want thee.
Blah, plus Geneon's set was like..well.
Just damn expensive.
Last time I watched L.E. was when Anime Unleashed was nearing it's final run on G4.
I even woke up a 4AM to see it once.

If old anime counts, HOKUTO NO KEN PLZ. Seriously, it's been dubbed more than once in America and has yet to get the dub it deserves.

But otherwise, yes, bring Reborn over as well.

Actually, I'm not sure if it will go up on YouTube but I'm pretty sure it will be on FUNimation's own video portal site.

I think that FUNimation has another title or two that hasn't been released on DVD for which they are putting out subs. For Naruto Shippūden, I believe TV Tokyo is going to have a subtitled version up for a price immediately after the show airs in Japan and then Viz will post said episode on their website for free a week later (or something like that).

Technically, you are incorrect about that "original" cast. The original cast for Ah! My Goddess (Oh My Goddess as AnimEigo named it) was from Coastal Carolina Sound Studios. So the first TV series went and got their own cast and then ADV kept that same cast.

Speaking of Greg Ayres, who will voice Kaworu? I know EoE was a mess when it came to getting the old crew back for some of the characters.

Terrible mix?

Soul Eater is in many ways a shounen anime parody. There characters are typically parodies of shounen standarRAB. But the series has a unique style and the world of Soul Eater is pretty interesting. It's my favorite show still running in Japan behind One Piece and it's about the only new Japanese show I bother to watch.

Well let's break down the clues here:

(spoiler tagged for those who might want to keep the licenses a surprise)
"Uncle Randy,
Can't wait to see your new van! In fact, we should plan a road trip. It would take my mind off of the feelings of dread I'm feeling about next semester! LET'S DO IT!
Peace, Greg"Vandread"Bobby,
Thought you'd like to know that your grandpa and I went to eat at Smith's Pie shop last night. Bless your soul, you always got so excited about their pies during summer visits!
Come see us soon, sweetie! All of my love, Granny"Soul Eater"Bob,
Hope that poison ivy cleared up. Hate to think you're walking around with itchy toes!
See ya soon, Maggie"Ikkitousen"Hey Katie!
You'll never guess who was at the party last night. Your EX! I'll tell you more about it in person. He was asking about you! Ha!
Beth"Last Exile"Hey Talia!
You coming on New Year's Eve? Angie, Eli and you can make it!
Kisses, Ben"Evangelion"Dear Helen,
Wow. I wasn't counting on Monte Carlo being this much fun! Oh, and Christy says hi! We wish you were here! Best vacation ever!
Dave"Gankutsuou: the Count of Monte Cristo

Those are pretty obvious, not sure about the rest:"Dear Mom,
I thought of the perfect gift for dad! It's a little gadget called the veggie guardian. It transmits a high frequency signal that's supposed to keep bugs off the plants. Look it up online.
- Love you! Roger"Guesses I've heard so far:

Moyashimon
Wagaya no Oinarisama
Mushi-uta"Hey Ed,
You totally have to remind me to tell you about this dream I had last night. VERY random. Here's the preview: You, me, a rocket and ship, three monkeys. OH! And you were in a diaper!
XOXO, Kelly"Only guess I've seen for this one is:

Dokkoida?!

Yes!!
That would be awesome, plus Greg Ayres is already playing Kaworu

As for Furi Kuri , I expect Bandai to pick it up

Dude, Vic already has a role in Evangelion, he plays Shigeru Aoba

And I couldn't think of anyone other than John Swasey playing Gendo

About Soul Eater, if it really is a Shonen spoof, what does it do differently that'd make me, a person who can't stand other anime spoofs like Gurren Lagann or Lucky Star, interested in seeing it?

The satire is more in the characters themselves. The story itself is not a spoof, and in my opinion neither is Gurren Lagann. There are a few references of famous evildoers, but that is pretty much it on satire. Also, Soul Eater is more character driven than most shounen series. There is more depth in Soul and his emotional stress in his pinky than in all of Sasuke's body.

The only true shounen satire is Gintama, which is not something to ignore.

Like I said before, Soul Eater isn't a spoof at all, and it's misleading to describe it like one. The only spoof-like qualities are that some of the characters can be compared to ones from other series, such as Black*Star being similar to Naruto in terms of being a loud-mouth ninja, and Dr. Stein being similar to Kakashi in terms of being a white-haired badass mentor, but they don't make fun of those character concepts or anything. They simply do them better.
