FUNiCon 2.0 (12/17/2009): Today at 4:30PM Pacific

What's odd is that, well, why can't they hire voice actors that used to work from ADV? If I'm correct, they didn't have a problem hireing Hilary Haag for Trinity Blood.

Heck, look at Brittney Karbowski. She was in Pani Poni Dash, Red Garden and Kanon when she worked in ADV. Then she jumps to Funimation, and one her roles in the future is in Soul Eater.

Per FUNimations Twitter page: We'll be answering questions already submitted. And we got a ton! The chat section is so you guys can visit amongst yourselves!

To those who wanna know why we aren't answering chat questions like we did last time -- they come in too fast and furiously...and honestly, we may not know the answers right off the cuff. We wanted to choose questions we did NOT know the answers to.

--------------

I'm not so sure about that last sentence, the questions they did answer seemed easy enough. But I can see them not wanting to bother with chat questions anymore, at times that chat board was flying by I couldn't keep up with it half the time, it just seems like too much of a pain in the butt to mess with.

I wouldn't mind seeing one or more of the following:
1) Bakemonogatari
2) Bokurano
3) Denno Coil
4) Kaiba
5) Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai
6) Mononoke
7) Kemonozume
8) Shana 2
9) Zero no Tsukaima Season 2 and 3
10) Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

... or knowing Funimation and their ability to overhype everything... some rescues, generic shounen or fanservice crap that I won't be remotely interested in.

They did, though, they brought in Kira Vincent-Davis.

Also, I don't really think Nanoha's dub is that bad beyond the extras and one of the male leaRAB (if there is such a thing as a male lead in Nanoha anyway).

But band shows are fun to watch (personally can't stand th moe aspect of it, but I',m a sucker for a good band show, as for Rosario, While the anime sucks compared to the manga, I would probably at least get the 1st season sense its OK (its capu2 where it turns to ecchi junk, sad consirdering it has the better opening song..lulz.)

The only other thing I could think of would be the rest of the Hellsing Ultimate OVA series, maybe the new Saint Sayia OVA's but thats a long shot.

But yea, Guess will just have to wait & see what happens!

I'm still waiting for them to rescue Viewtiful Joe from Geneon, especially because Geneon did record an uncut dub (but ultimately only released it edited). Really, the fact that one of their previous Geneon rescue announcements was called New Show a Go Go was a huge disappointing tease.

If they could get the materials to put out that unreleased uncut dub, bilingual it, and release it in 13 episode sets, that'd be awesome. Though, taking it one step farther, I'd like to see them continue by dubbing the second half of the series, but I don't know how easy it'd be to round up the voice actors again (not to mention how the Geneon voice of Captain Blue died shortly after recording episode 26).

Though, it'd probably just be easier to redub the whole thing, which would also be nice.

Thought I'd use this thread to correct myself: Funi's twitter and blog have indicated that the next slew of acquisition announcements will begin on Monday, January 4th. The FUNicon video has also been up for several days now.
