Hell no! I want people to have "Bon Voyage" party or something when I go. I want them to say their farewells, and then go out and get tanked at some bar, where they can all sing crazy drinking songs in my honor. Or something along those lines...

you know, ive seen a million threaRAB like this and i never really picked a good song. but now im thinking sonny by new found glory. i mean, if you listen to the lyrics it pretty much sounRAB like someone died.

I dunno what song, but a happy funny one...ha yeah, at my funeral everyone can have a party and drink as much booze as they like...

maybe just to be sadistic, i'd like to have some completely inapropriate metal or rap in there, maybe cause alot of my extended family are really religious, and alot of them really piss me off, but I can't imagine that my immediate family (who I really love) would like that all that much :P: so my final list would probably be, the beatles - let it be, in my life, imagine, collective soul - the world I know, jimmy eat world - hear you me, led zeppelin - thank you, and a rock version of what a beautiful world. and I'm going to tell people in my that when I die, I want them to find out the record for the biggest gap jump done by a skier (and landed) and to find a gap bigger than that, strap my casket to my skis, attach a rocket to the back, and launch me off so I break that record. and I'll have to land the jump too, they'll need to launch me off as many times as it takes for my casket to stick the landing :D

"Basin Street Blues" by Kid Koala for me. And if we could set up a big projection of the awesome video instead of just playing the song that would be even better.

Pink Floyd - Childhood's End

You shout in your sleep.
Perhaps the price is just too steep.
Is your conscience at rest
If once put to the test?
You awake with a start
To just the beating of your heart.
Just one man beneath the sky,
Just two ears, just two eyes.

You set sail across the sea
Of long past thoughts and memories.
Childhood's end, your fantasies
Merge with harsh realities.
And then as the sail is hoist,
You find your eyes are growing moist.
All the fears never voiced
Say you have to make your final choice.

Who are you and who am I
To say we know the reason why?
Some are born; some men die
Beneath one infinite sky.
There'll be war, there'll be peace.
But everything one day will cease.
All the iron turned to rust;
All the proud men turned to dust.
And so all things, time will mend.
So this song will end.

I agree. But I still shudder when I think of a great song that has been covered badly yet had too much exposure, even if I'm listening to the original version. It kind of ruins its memory a little. A similar thing happened with Stealers Wheel, Stuck in the Middle, but its so long ago now I can listen to it without hearing that awful cover in my head.

Stairway to Heaven- Led Zeppelin
I Remeber You-Skid Row
Send Me An Angel-Scorpions
and to clear out the room
Walk Into The Light-Insane Clown Posse

"Another One Bites The Dust"... oh man I almost pissed myself. But it'd make people laugh if played at my funeral, so I'd play it. :D And I'm (somewhat) surprised no one's said "Higher" by Creed. That was almost the first one to pop into my head, so I'd play that as well. Also, these:

"Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)" -- Green Day (yeah, overdone, but I like it)
"Welcome To Paradise" -- Green Day (lol)
"Tongue" -- Seether (the lyrics are interesting)
"DOA" -- Foo Fighters (lol)
"Stairway to Heaven" -- Led Zeppelin (well, yeah)

And that's all I can think of at the moment.
