Ok, I love talking about dance, and I was just wondering how did you guys start out dancing. The person with the most detail gets 10 points. Here's my story:
Ok 3 years ago my 8 year old little sister started taking dance. AT her first dance recital, I was really fascinated by the dancers. The next year I told my parents I wanted to start dancing. The owner of the studio told my mom hip-hop would be the best for me, because I had know experience. (At this time i was 10) The teacher that taught hip-hop was a student teacher she was horrible! I didn't even know how to do a simple bridge because she never taught me. I was horrible at hip-hop. But, I kept at it because I figured I would ger better. The next year was a little better, but I really wanted to tap dance. I soon had my little sister teaching me simple tap moves. I told my parents I wanted to take tap, and the owner said that I would have to be with my little sisters class because she had no beginner classes for me. At that point in life I didn't care, I just wanted to learn. The tap classes were really weird, but fun at the same time. I wasn't planning on dancing in the recital, but then the tap teacher asked me if I wanted to be donkey in the dance recital (the theme was Shrek). I have no clue why I said yes, but I did. I was HORRIBLE.! I came off stage crying I was sooo embarassed. I really wanted to tap dance, but I was NOT tap dancing with little kids again. So after the recital we had the summer off, and we found a brand new studio opening. My mom talked to the owner.... she said she would have beginner tap classes. So I signed up for beginner tap and hip-hop for my age. The first day of hip-hop classes, was amazing. From the minute the teacher laid on the floor and showed me how to do a bridge I knew I made a great choice. She did the same in tap too. I love my dance teacher, she makes me feel like I belong in dance. I would never think about moving back. I feel soo comfortable with her, in fact next year I'm taking ballet, jazz and maybe musical theater too. I love danicng its my passion My dance studio is my 2nd home. And this is my dance story.... sorry its long,.... whats your story?
btw I'm now 13
