In deep space (no gravity), the bolt (arrow)
of a crossbow accelerates at 205 m/s^2. What speed will the bolt have attained 2.9s after leaving the crossbow? How far will the bolt have traveled during the 2.9s?

v = v_init + acc * time
acc = 205 m/s^2
time = 2.9 sec
v_init = 0

v = (205 m/s^2) (2.9 sec) = 594.5 m/s

The bolt will have traveled (1/2)(205 m/s^2) (2.9 sec) ^2 = 862.03 m.
