FullMetal Alchemist New Series 2009

Yea I agree with most of what Ikokku said. I liked the episode. It is sad to see my favorite show of all time come to an end but the ride was fun while it lasted. From the first episode back in April of 2009 till episode 64 which I watched last night, I was thoroughly entertained. I have bought Brotherhood Part 1 on blu ray already and will be buying the other parts as they are released. The funny thing is that I will rewatch the episodes as I get them and then once I have the whole series I will probably rewatch it all. This anime was that good and I have really enjoyed discussing it a lot with all of you. I hope people don't see the shows ending as leaving to many holes because I really liked the way that everything wrapped up. I don't have any questions regarding whether or not Edward will be able to use alchemy again because he gave it up and he knew that and in a way it showed me that he wouldn't do it unless he studied and somehow found a way.

Ep 6 was good. I wondered why Ed doesn't just get another alchemist to put his arm together but I suppose they need to have intricate knowledge of automail design in order for the process to work effectively, or perhaps it's that inorganic material that has been destroyed by Scar can't be remade?

So I caught back up on this recently, the show really picked up after ep.8 or so, really good stuff. This is quite a bit better than the first anime.

yea, that's what i planned to do when i start watching it. i'll probably just wait until every episode is out, then watch em all over the course of 2 days (maybe one day if i can manage it)

Oh the plot twists. I remeraber when I first read the manga, I was pretty mad about Mustang and this whole point of the story too.

Thinking about the length of the manga, I wonder how many episodes we're going to get? I really can't see this thing finishing in any less than 50 episodes. But I might just feel that way because of the once a month release. Makes it seem so much longer.

good episode, though im still getting used to the new animation.
the reason ed has to go to the rockbell's is probably becuase they worked on him the first time, so they would have most of the knowledge needed to do a good job in a short amount of time. it's also probably to intorduce risenbull into the series ^_^

Roll on April 5th is all I can say

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is to be premiered at Supanova: Brisbane next weekend. This will be screened simultaneously with the Japanese broadcast and presented by Vic Mignogna. Also Madman have acquired the rights to stream each new episode a couple of days after the Japanese broadcast on the Madman website. Episodes will be in Japanese with English subtitles and will be kept online indefinitely unless things change.

Episode 64 was really well done. I really liked how it ended with Ed and AL ready for another adventure and Ed is finally taller than Winry! This series is one of the best things I've ever seen, glad they're following it up with a movie though.

Damn I hate it when incredible shows end but it was one hell of a ride. Kind of felt depressed and joy at the same time. The ending was really really satisfying nothing remains unquestioned.
Another thing I loved was the proposal and the fact that Al and Ed were going to break this equivalent law. I also liked the last episode where the white being tells Ed that he will become an ordinary person and Ed he already was.

Enjoyed every episode of this series. And like you said KN im a huge fan of this series as well but im going to wait until the entire series is released on blu ray then I'll buy it.

Also Ed was balls the size of Jupiter to be able to m ake proposal like that lol. Damn kind of sad it ended.

nothing like watching what is essentially a 24 hour long epic movie.
i hate when stuff that is this amazing enRAB. i just long for more

i liked it better than the first run honestly, i wasnt sure until about 1/2 way through. then i decided that this story just had more "epic" to it

I agree, Brotherhood was way better. The first was good, though it veered off course by a major amount compared to the manga. I was glad to see them make a new series and it follow along with the actual manga.

The ending was good and there were lots of sad parts thru out, though it all ended happily in the end.
