FullMetal Alchemist New Series 2009

The more FMA the better, hopefully I am caught up fully by the time this comes out, I am sure I will be, the first series was only 50+ episodes so I should have plenty of time. Is it going to be based on the same characters or brand new alchemists??

Yeah, I was surprised with that too. But I think we have to redefine what it means to be strong. It's not all about beating the **** out of the bad guys, like you see in bleach and naruto. I guess, it's an overall advantage to be in the dark with pride. If it was outside the tunnel who knows?

I agree with kingnothing, we don't know hoenheim that much except that fact that he can do alchemy without touching his hanRAB, which is tottal badass if you tell me. Huge advantages.

It sounRAB like they're dropping the Lior arc (which is fine it was slow and boring) at the beginning for some action-packed new material, after which they'll pick up the manga storyline and hopefully stay true. So the ice alchemist is a new character as far as anyone knows.

And another new trailer, I'm getting excited about the music now. I wasn't sure if it'd be able to compare to the first shows soundtrack.

slightly different huh, yea that's pretty much what i thought. either way though, it should still be pretty cool even to watch those same events happen all over again (that is, if you're a huge fan of the series and haven't watched it in a while).

4 more episodes if Myanimelist is correct. It lists 64 episodes.

Also question for Ikkoku. What is the corresponding chapter to where the anime is?

This shows on my television in the same week as Japan, I could never be prouder of Animax Asia. It makes my heart burn with passion.

Well the fact that it has its own ending may be regarded as filler, but not really. The anime was beginning to catch up to the manga, so, instead of making shitty filler episodes to give the manga some time, they decided to give the anime its own unique ending. The creator of the series, Hiromu Arakawa, said that she wanted for this as well because she didn't want to see the same thing... lol now shes doing it again to do the whole storyline again.

Anyways, i'm really excitd for this, im just hoping that the directors don't mess up such a masterpiece. it would really be a shame

By the way, it has been confirmed that FMA will air on Adult Swim a week from Saturday at midnight:

So just watched episode 61. Holy shite, not gonna lie the counter attack was awesome. The last 3 episodes are gonna be incredible. I am so interested to see how it turns out but I am kinda down at the same time since I know it is coming to an end. I think I am gonna go read the last 5 chapters of the manga so I can see how it wraps up. Definitely a great show and the only 10 on any show that I have watched that I have recorded on myanimelist.net
