FullMetal Alchemist New Series 2009

Episode 15 was awesome, the gif above was a funny moment I'm glad we are now onto some new stuff and seeing Barry the Chopper again was cool too.
 
I've read on more than a few sites that the new series is going to be new episodes based on the Manga, which should be cool. Personaly, I'm glad of isn't going to be out for another year, I still need to catch up on FMA's series 1 before the new stuff comes out.
 
Oh I hope it is based off the Manga. I wanna see General Armstrong animated and stabbing people like the crazy/sexy ***** that she is.
Oh and Lin as the New Greed well rock too.
 
Just watched episode 56--it started off kinda slow and then picked up.
A bit disapointing that Ed and Mustang and the others aren't mentioned in this episode. But getting to see the start of Greed/Lao Fan/the old guy(can't remeraber his name) vs. Wrath was pretty awesome. And hopefully that one girl whose with Lao Fan and the old guy(can't remeraber her name either) will join in as well.
 
i didn't even know there was any "real" alchemy, but i guess the closest thing we have to "real" alchemy is like making medicine from herbs. so yea, i guess you could say the theories are similar. it's bascally just "take object A and turn it into object B".
 
Episode 6...they tied up Dr. Marcoh and they're return home pretty nicely...I didn't think something like that could be done and still be watchable.

Holy **** that was good. Will be interesting to see how they pull this all off. Must suck to be in the neighboring countries right about now. They really should make a series in Xing. :S
 
Episode 28 was quite awesome, father looks like Hohenheim, but isn't him, maybe a twin or something, that's the best I can think of at this point, Ling seemed to react when Ed mentioned Lan Fan so maybe Greed isn't in as much control as first thought, must say I'm liking this story more than the previous FMA which I really like.
 
I loved the episode, Hohenheim toying with Pride was the best part, I'm wondering about his strength now though, you would think he would be very strong yet he ran from Pride, sure Pride is strong, but I thought Hohenheim would be stronger.
 
It was really srange seeing Armstrong like that in episode 30 as we are so used to seeing him kicking ass, even just some of the normal soldiers looked like they didn't want to fight that war.
 
I am, although the end of chapter 100 shocked me, but it is definitely Arakawa's style.

I'm only on episode 27. But it was an alright episode, just summing things up and all that. Probably watch 28 tonight.
 
Heres my thoughts on the fourth episode.

Despite that its now a one episode thing, I really like how quickly they make you fall in love with Nina. The little flashes of her making a crown for Alexander out of flowers, her playing with Alphonse...its all very sad, because most of us already knew what happened to her. They really make it hit deep, just like the first time around. Grah. Shes so innocent!

First look at Tucker in that darkened room, and poor Nina, I started tearing up. Fricken Tucker, God, what a creeper.

At least they didn't show the Nina/Alexander chimera splattered against the wall like last time.

And even Scar got that face time. Next episode is the confrontation with Scar.
 
Bones has proved in the past that they can maintain pretty high quality animation throughout a lengthy series, look at Eureka Seven and Soul Eater for proof of that. I am of the opinion that Bones is ahead of the game in a lot of ways in the art and animation department, rivaled only by animation monsters like Production IG and Gainax.

The corabat in particular caught my eye. Hiromu Arakawa, the manga-ka of FMA, is a martial artist and applies her corabat knowledge to her work and it seems that Bones is doing their best to keep that aspect alive. The fighting in the first series wasn't one of the focuses, which was kind of disappointing, but it seems that Bones learned a lot after drawing all that fighting in Soul Eater and is putting that experience to good use here.

I cannot wait to see more!
