FullMetal Alchemist New Series 2009

Well, finished episode 3. And while the scene where he turned into a hulk might be considered a bit worthless, they needed something I suppose, since the original had those giant statues that fought the Elric Brothers if I'm correct.

I enjoyed this conclusion of the Lior arc a lot more than the original as well. I hated how they just continued to live in ignorance and give it a "and they all lived happily ever after." ending. But yeah, another good episode. Next episode will feature the part with Tucker and Nina, now that was a neat part of the story. Since that's the case, Scar should be making his appearance real soon as well.

It's looking to get good real quick.

Episode 2 was very good. I liked how Ed became a State Alchemist better in than manga than he did in the anime. Though one part I did like about it in the anime was how he and Al interacted with Nina during that time.

Looks like the next episode will be a lot similar to episode 1 of the first series.

I really hate it when i find this kind of stuff out, FMA was great and now im being told half of it was filler

Why didn't they just follow the manga story?

Episode 12 was well done. They did a good job condensing that whole sequence of events. I am just wondering how much longer until it gets to a point where it is just purely new. I mean they are adding bits and pieces to the story that you did not see in the first show but nothing like wow thats different.

Ok WTF? Why did Mustang kill Ross, seriously, two things went through my mind when I saw that, nuraber one was that it was really Envy pretending to be Mustang as he was acting so cold and unlike Mustang, and two Mustang some how faked her death although I can't see how this can be true as it was done so fast and the autopsy said it was Ross, no ways I'm gonna believe he really killed her.

So I'm going to watch the first episode tonight (not going to bother with the internet since its premiering on Animax and stuff).
Expect comments tomorrow.

Episode 63- Wow I'm just absolutely blown away. Kind of sad though that greed and Hohenheim died.

Also, I kind of suspected Edward would so something like that I don't know how. But it was like deja vu.
Kind of disappointed that they didn't go into detail about the gate of truth and who the hell is that white being. It was kind of confusing.

KN without spoiling anything how awesome is the ending?

SON OF A....It takes the place of GUNDAM 00, that show is the ****!. But I can understand why, so is FMA, and mabye I should go and watch every episode and movie before that season comes out.

Hmmm you two gave me an idea. Maybe he has a very strong link with the philosopher stone and his soul or something. He is literally attached to it so pulling the philosophers stone is like pulling him from the inside out. I dunno just speculation.

I love how each episode is packed with action and story and not just people staring at each other. I haven watched the old one that much. But I've been loving the new FMA series so far.

Yeah, they left out a few semi-important scenes, but they could easily cover them in some quick flashbacks later on when it's more relevant. Really enjoying the pacing.

No sorry, the first anime did a terrible job of correctly portraying Ed and Al's personalities to begin with. This is much truer to their actual characters.

OK I'm confused and bare in mind I've recently had a hard knock to my nut XD the first episode of the original series didn't start like this did it, I can't even remeraber this Ice Alchemist guy being in the other series, I know its all new and following the manga but I was told the first half of the original series pretty much followed the manga loyal.

Just finished watching episode 63, holy cow! I really like how Ed was able to finally figure out "Truth" and bring Al, back Poor Greed and Hohenheim though. Its kinda sad now thats its ending, damn, only 1 episode left.

And another great episode, lots of new stuff, although they condensed a variety of scenes from about 5 different chapters into it. Still worked pretty well in my opinion, can't stand the new OP and ED though.

I have to say, that these chapters weren't really among my favorites in the manga (they weren't -bad-, I just thought they weren't that special) but wow, that made for an intense episode!

Loved Romi Park's performance in the scene where Ed gets the rebar pulled out of him. Good lord, I almost felt the agony myself!

I preferred the manga's slightly more subtle revelation that Hohenheim was the man who brought alchemy to Xing.

Next episode- the return of Rose, thankfully still speaking and without the rape baby/Virgin Mary syrabolism.
