If its going to be based off the manga, then doesn't that mean that alot of stuff will be changed? How many of you have read the manga? you should know what I mean...

Did anyone else notice that the name of the bad guys in FMA are named after some of the 7 deadly sins? But I guess that makes sense to why there names are what they are.

People are just calling it filler as it doesn't follow the manga at all.

I do agree that it introduced some super important themes. That's what I liked so much about it.

Yeah I know that much but at what point did the first anime start to deviate from the manga?

FMA creator Hiromu Arakawa told the ending of the manga to the creators of the -first- FMA series 6 years ago. So I'm pretty sure that she's long kept the creators of the new series in the loop for the manga ending too, so it would REALLY shock me if they went in their own direction in the last couple of episodes.

Agreed, the ending wasn't that special, but it wasn't that horrible either. At least it gave out the message that was needed to say.

...but yeah it really was more dramatic...also like how they're being more diverse with Ed's arm.

In the first series it was a one-trick-pony/Blade.

Yeah I'd honestly forgotten how early he was introduced lol, kinda makes me want to reread the story.

And to be honest as silly as it sounRAB or something and even though in FMA you saw how painful it is to have metal arms and legs you still think of it as something cool to have. Like this series made you want metal arms and legs even though technology like that doesn't exist yet.

I really enjoyed the episode, filler or not. Aside from great animation and acting, it had the feel of FMA that I love. I do look forward to more.

Episode 8 was great as expected, it was the perfect mix of action with comedy, Al is freaking solid, the discussion between him and Barry about being surprised by his story was hilarious and Ed saying "Hey your not going to say something like were a trio" hahaha I was Loling most of it.

Shouldn't be a need for fillers here and there. The manga is almost finished, so the anime has plenty of time to develop without resorting to filler material.
