FullMetal Alchemist New Series 2009

Episode 55 kicked ass. I mean izumi kicked total ass that was fun to watch armstrongs reaction. With the Fuhrer in action it should be interesting who he would take one.

Any speculations on why father wasn't able to take the philosophers stone?
 
If they ended this series with a filler ending it would kill FMA off for me, I wouldn't be interested in another re-release later down the line for the real ending, that would be taking the piss.
 
Not likely. They would probably show up in Sci-Fi's Ani-Monday long before [adult swim] will pick them up. CN doesn't do first the run of the more mature anime anymore (except for the kiddy ones).
 
Really? That soon, I can't wait for the real storyline to kick in but I have to say it has a lot to live up to, even though most of the previous story wasn't in the manga it was super awesome and epic.
 
You guys are lucky... The newest FMA isn't around in my part of australia... You can only watch it on the internet... Local libraries don't have any... just the boring old FMA book 1 of the first... At least my local bookstore has all of the first series... But that still sux! T^T
Oh well... might as well read the old ones or watch the new ones on the internet........

In fact, starting RIGHT NOW, I'm giving the first series the Highlander 2 treatment...that is if Highlander 2 even existed.
 
Just saw episode 33.

Gotta say, was a bit let down by this episode. On one hand, It was great seeing Olivier Mira Armstrong (and her sexy, sexy lips) finally animated, on the other hand I'm not the biggest fan of her voice (can't quite place why, though). The Scar/Kirablee fight was a -lot- shorter than I remeraber it being, too.

Ah, the start of the Briggs story arc- a good one. The next several episodes should be fun.
 
haha agreed this is the benefit when you read the manga. you know whats coming next, and get to enjoy the reactions of everyone else.
 
Excellent imo, but I've been reading the manga since forever and wasn't particularly impressed by the first version of the anime, so your mileage may vary
 
it's pretty close, been a few scenes missing here and there that I hope get flashbacks.

Episode 14 was great, really enjoyed the Greed fight. Also did a bit of a doubletake at Selim's conversation with the Fuhrer knowing what goes on later in the manga.
 
The new series is indeed a reboot of the series back to it's manga roots. The manga will be finished in probably 10 more months as it reaches it's 100th chapter. I'm ecstatic =] Can't wait for Gundam 00 to be streamed. It should out in a little while now
