FullMetal Alchemist New Series 2009

Despite the amount of hate spouted by fanboys about BONE's shuffling of the manga material, I thought episode 17 was nevertheless well animated and highly enjoyable. I hope people realize that just because Brotherhood is following the manga storyline more closely, that doesn't mean it has to follow it panel for panel.

Holy **** I really liked episode 54. Seriously just hoheihim walking up to father like that just makes the next episode automatically awesome. I can't wait.

The second episode was good, it didn't seem rushed to me but maybe someone who has never seen the original may think it was kinda rushed, the scene where their creation was shown was just as disturbing as the original one.

i agree, there isnt that much of a diference between this episode and the original. though i dont think armstrong knew about lab 5, but i could be wrong. judging by the preview, it looks like Ed is gonna get a little more beat up, and i wonder why 66 has blood on his knife.....?

I think I will check it out through that site if I can but I had heard of this isn't it called Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood or something thats jsut something I heard?

There's a new series?! I really need to see it. This has been one of my old favorites for quite awhile and i've been dying to know what else happens to Ed and his bro. (Forgive me if I got the names wrong but I haven't seen this in awhile and I think I might rewatch it all and find out somehow to see this new series.)

The Tucker/Nina part was better in the manga, since Tucker was never meant to be the deus ex machina plot device that he turned into in the anime.

She did exceptionally well with Edward, that's for sure. Even Vic Mignogna did a fantastic job for the English dub. I can't imagine anything with Edward's face on it coming from either of these two people.

I do look forward to what kind of voice talent they acquire for the new roles, especially if they're going to go with faithfully following the manga's storyline. There's a ton of interesting characters to be found in the manga and finding a voice for all of them would be quite a feat.

I have plenty of complaints with fansubs, though it has more to do with their methodology and such than their actual existence. I think ACID was actually saying that he won't be able to wait for an English dub and will delve into the dark, twisted world of fansubs.

Just watched Episode 38.

First of all, new opening is amazing. Not just the music, which I mentioned before, but the animation that goes with it is perfectly timed. The Pride segment looks incredible, and I love the sequence where the two brothers are separated, and then you see more and more frienRAB of theirs appear around them as the music starts to build.

New ending almost seems more like an opening, though I still like it. Especially the shot of Riza's tattoo.

As for the episode itself, it's pretty much the manga panel for panel witht he exception of the placement of Scar's "flashback". When it looked like they took it out at first I was disappointed (it was originally shown when Winry was bandaging his arm) because it was such a big moment for him -and- Winry, and is really a turning point for the character and his redemption. However they still added it later in the episode so it all worked out.

Next episode should be an absolute doozy:

Not only do we get a whole ton of answers regarding Father, Hohenheim, and Xerxes, it has one of my favorite scenes in the manga with the coded message between Mustang and Hawkeye.
