FullMetal Alchemist New Series 2009

probably when it's over in japan since it only has like 20 episodes left (according to some theories at least)

is the cast going to be the same as the first one?

Episode 20 was great, still clinging onto the hope that Barry is still alive, it's annoying nobody went to check on him, so [blackout]Ed didn't revive his mum then and his teacher didn't revive her son, I'm guessing this might be important for more reasons than what was shown in this episode.[/blackout]

Lawl. I have 6. I need to get though the whole episode first xD

Yeah, not killing the thread would be great.

I just watched episode 30. Like everyone was saying, it showed the war really well, including the affect it had on the people who were in it. I mean, Hughes, Roy, Riza, it was bad for them. Especially seeing Armstrong, and what the war did to him.

... She's their mom, that's plenty of motivation.

Hohenheim is never around and quite clearly hated by Ed. It's only natural that two kiRAB would want their mother back and use the power they have to actualize that wish.

I guess I didn't have much to say about it because it reserabled the original at this point a ton and really did not see to much new stuff.

I can't find any information on this anywhere... maybe its just me, but maybe someone could help me out with some working links O_o. ( the one posted in the original topic doesn't work )

I didn't think the characters were off, but I haven't watched the first anime in years and I haven't read the manga so its hard to tell. I take it Alfare has read the manga, so its great to hear that they are sticking closer to the manga. I dont really know why I have such an interest in this as I was never a huge fan of the original. And the animation was beautiful in this episode, I just hope they keep it up as the first few episodes of an anime usually have great art and it might wear off a bit in, but Bones did the first FMA anime as one of their earliest anime and hey have more experience now so I have faith in them.

I haven't read through ALL of this post and didn't really have the patience, so I'll just say this: sorry if anything in this post was already said.

1. This is not a "remake," nor continuation. The continuation would be one of the movies. I forget what it's called, but the storyline finishes there. I haven't watched it yet, but don't really feel a need to.
2. This is a "remake" of the manga, and NOT the original show. HOnestly, I think this series is MUCH better. NO filler hardly @ all. I think Dragon Ball, the series is doing that with DragonBall Kai. More companies should. It'd be really sweet. But then again, I dont' get a chance to read managa regularly like everyone else.
3. This story is MUCH better than the original. ESPECIALLY if you haven't seen FMA before. This is the perfect jump-off if you need some quick action REALLY fast. Like jeez, it's wonderful.
4. THE FIRST 30 EPISODES ARE ON YOUTUBE POSTED BY THE PRODUCERS THEMSELVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'VE NO CLUE WHY, BUT TAKE ADVANTAGE NOW!!!!!
5. The voice acting and development of characters is much better.
6. I could go ON AND ON AND ON, but I won't for now. Just go and see it.

However, in departure from that, what do people think of the series @ the moment? And I haven't seen episode 31 or 32 yet, so don't spoil it for me please lol....well wait, I think I saw 31.

The action in 13 was displayed so well.
Really quick stuff. We're getting into stuff I don't recognize as they were quite different in the original series... @.@

Just when I thought Ed saying 'Don't f** with me' was the best moment of the episode, the scene of Ed changing the whole mountainside to get to that girl and Al's head rolling along after was class. XD

I'm going to watch this series. I haven't seen the first series, either, so I'll be able to watch this with an open mind! And then I might go back and watch the first series, and probably complain about it.
