FullMetal Alchemist New Series 2009

Latest new from ANN dated 02/06/09:

This is awesome news!!!!

Still time to become charter merabers of the new FMA Club:Remake.

Seriously guys. Are we really going to get upset because Roy is a little out of character? Understandably, we all want them to act like they're supposed to. I'm sure this will all be straightened out as the anime goes on. Character development and all.

Give it a chance. We fans were lucky enough to see a new FMA series, lets just see how it goes.

I probably would be, but I'm not a manga person, my point is though they did what they meant to do in this episode, it got across what the war was like.

After episode 57 I'm not sure what to say, Ed, Al and Izumi all sacrificed, now I'm not durab enough to think this is it for them, but I have no idea how they are getting back, I wonder though if this will possibly be a chance for them to get their bodies back, sad to see Gramps get killed, but at least in his death Buccaneer was able to stab the Fuhrer in the stomach and then Greed seemed to slash him in the eye afterwarRAB.

I'm quite enjoying the brisk pace. Once we hit unknown territory I can easily see the show slowing down a bit but part of me hopes it stays to-the-point like it is now. On one hand, the show seems to be moving as quick as it can to the untouched material from the manga and on the other it feels like it's taking it's viewers seriously and treating them with some measure of respect. It definitely doesn't dawdle, and I imagine that even new fans don't feel lost or neglected of detail.

It should really be a continuation, the movie made things end interestingly enough.. but it can still be changed in many ways.. lol Ed had a dream! :P
But seriously would the sequal have enough behind it to be worth watching?

Oh man, the manga's ending is going to be something else.

Pretty much means that the ending of this series is going to be something else.

Well, it looks like FUNimations is also getting in on the simulcasting fun for North America. However, there is a 4 day delay after the Japanese broadcast but I suppose that's better than dealing with potential fansubbing bullshit (like all those fake/troll subs for K-ON last night) or waiting for the licensed stuff to come on DVD or to domestic television.

I guess I'll be picking this back up again.

We fast forward the opening now because it pales/fails in comparison to the old openings.

Episode was sweet~ Roy's rage is so scary yet perfectly depicted in the anime.
