Full price for a Wii or $100 for an xbox 360?

Everyone knows about the $100 360 deal now.

There are only 1000, but if you can take it over the Wii. A 20gb harddrive is only $99.99 more, which still puts you at less than the price of the Wii for basically a 360 Premium. You don't need more than 20gb unless you want to keep all the game demos you try, or you want to use the new Xbox Live Video to buy TV show downloads.
 
I probably wouldn't get the 20GB HD right away.

What is the word on xbox 360 modding at this point? My original modded xbox is awesome. 300GB HD, chip, it is teh win.
 
Well saving games requires a memory card or harddrive, and the memory card is like $35 for 64mb, the 20gb harddrive for $99 is a much better deal.

I would probably actually mod a $100 360, you don't have much to lose. You have to rewire and flash the DVD drive to play burned games, and you have to get rips that have properly modified the image to be readable by the flashed drive. You can also use a hacked harddrive, by getting a normal 2.5" notebook drive, copying an image of the 360 drive over to it, and sticking the drive in the 360 harddrive case. There are tutorials around.

I'm not modding mine, I don't want to void the warranty, but that's because I had to pay more than $100.
 
amazon servers are going to get hammered the chance of getting one is probably worse than winning the lottery
