Fuel filter for 07 kawasaki ninja 500r?

so i just bought a ninja 500 for my first bike but it needs a few things like fuel and air filters. i have the air filter but i need to get a fuel filter, i can see it right up under the right fairing, so i know it has one. but im having trouble finding one online, should i take it out and see if there is a part number on it? what do i need to do to take it out?

I checked on-line (Bikebandit.com) for the schematics for your bike and it it shows a separator (Part #783424 $60.75) but no fuel filter is shown. It may be an aftermarket fuel filter. If really in doubt you can call and ask an authorized Kawasaki dealer and check with one of their mechanics. They also carry 23 different fuel filters that range in price from $2.53 - $39.56 if you wanted to still replace the one you have. However you will have to know the fuel line size in order to get the proper fuel filter. You can also go to Denniskirk.com and they have fuel filters too.
