Fuel additives

Something I have been wanting to ask about is who uses what sort of fuel additives. Never found anything about it in my manual but then again you don't see it in car manuals either. I hope to get some responses to this so asking, what does anybody use? We use EFI/intake cleaners in our cages so why not our bikes? Mine is an 01 and has a carburetor but even in older vehicles aw well as new I like to use Lucas fuel system cleaner.
 
I also use lucas injector cleaner once in a while and I also put some marvel mystery oil in the gas once in a while. Don't know why I use marvel, but I have use for many years in engines. I think marvel lubes the upper end a little and also provides some cleaning.
 
Marvel has been around forever but I have never used it in anything. All right, the only stupid question is the one not asked so here goes mine. I presume Marvel is a fuel additive and not an oil additive?
 
I HAD been using MARVEL for about 30 years because a friend recommended it. A little in gas & a little in the oil. I added 3 ounces to my new H-D with 29 miles on odometer & made complete oil change @ 500 miles. Looking at the dirty? oil in my drain pan, it was for sure something not blended in with the oil. Different colors of streaks & puddles. Got my genius buddy to look & he laughed and said to stop using that oil additive. Never seen that before. Marvel cannot mix with H-D oil ? I quit using both of them enyhow! Anal about things like that...
 
The only additive I have or will ever use is "Chevron" branded fuel system or injector cleaner.
It is the only one recommended by GM, Porsche, Toyota, Nissan and Daimler Benz, amongst others.
One dose every three or four months is all it takes to keep your cylinders and injectors looking as clean as they were when new.
