there's like motherfucking 6 of those sons of bitches in there in each motherfucking room and they take goddamn 3 fucking hits on each motherfucker and you cant hit them from the front and if you hit them from the back, you can only get one hit in before they turn the fuck around and fucking piss me off
 
they're pretty easy. you know what you're supposed to do right?

they are vulnerable to attacks from the side and back. bombs can also be effective.
 
I hate the Knights. They piss me off to no end every time I play through the original. The best strategy I found is to try line up at a right angle from them and when they walk in front of you, do a quick swipe and move ASAP. They can't turn until they're fully on a square and if you're fast enough you can hit them and run away before they turn. It's a PITA, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be taking them out in no time. They become easy as pie once you get the Magic Wand too.

I fucking hate it because by the time I get to their room, I am out of bombs because I have to kill those triceratops things 2 rooms prior to getting to them

can I just skip the whistle for now and get the wand and come back or do I need the flute to pass the dungeon?
 
I didn't realize that once I had 12 hearts that I could go get the magic sword + blue ring + power bracelet

I went and got those things then beat the whole level in about 10 minutes
 
i remember back when i was little nintendo power issued some challenge where you had to beat zelda 1 without the blue/red rings, wooden sword, and like 8 hearts... i couldnt do it
 
isnt the blue ring better? I like how when you beat zelda it restarts but its tougher and everything is in a different place. Gonna pick it up again once i beat contra on hard/get bored of RB6.
 
Red Ring is > Blue Ring

If you have just the Blue Ring or just the Red Ring, it cuts damage in half. If you have both the Blue Ring and the Red Ring, it cuts damage by 3/4.
 
oh fuck me, I beat the 5th 6th and 7th dungeons and then I accidentally turned off my wii with the wiimote and the last time I had died and saved was back at the 4th dungeon
