Fuck the new version of MSN messenger. Don't get it. Once you download it, you have to re-enter all your contacts and there's no way to go back to the older version and get the contacts or even use the older version. Gah! I'm going nuts. Usually, the messenger is better, but I already hate this version. Gah! :banghead:
 
I've been using Windows Live Messenger for awhile now, ever since the invite-only beta was released. Is that the one you are refering to? If it is, it works fine for me.
 
Yeah. That's the newest version. But it deleted all my contacts and It's just frustrating trying to remember who uses it and who uses something else and then trying to get their newest contacts since most of mine are probably old. pfft. I guess it's not that big of a deal, but it's stupid all the same.
 
The new Yahoo! messenger is a pain in the ass as well. You can right click on several places and the messenger will shutdown on you. Lots of fun that one is. Trillian is nice too. Too bad it has problems keeping MSN online for me. If it disconnects for some reason MSN won't come back up. Skype is the one a I have the least amount of problems with. There's a new version of Skype that came out a couple days ago btw! :)
 
I don't like trillian, because you can't use webcam :thumbsdn:

And if you think WLM looks annoying, you should have seen the early beta versions. They had this retro-green shit theme that looked so stupid.
 
IM is fucked. I've never used a single one (GoogleTalk aside) that doesn't fuck itself at irritating times. I just use the phone. Old-school, but reliable.
 
I tried it, got sick of it and I went back to the old one just fine. I didn't uninstall it from my computer though, so that could be why.
 
It sucks.

It has so much shit in it, that it takes forever to load, it's never reliable.
It's sad that they took 3 steps back with this when it was going so well.
