Already passed the Asserably, full Democratic support. Any babysitter over 18 will have to get minimum wage, have a 2nd babysitter to cover first one while they take their mandatory breaks, have workman's comp coverage.

Another instance of no one bothering to read the fucking bills anymore before they vote on them. It was supposed to cover actual employees but thanks to the wording, babysitters and housekeepers are also counted.

Of course this is probably in response to some bullshit where people were being taken advantage of but don't bother posting that HERP DERP.
 
Don't laugh. California has a program where a family meraber gets paid by the state to take care of an elderly parent in their own home. Its full of scammers. They're trying to unionize or already have.
 
Until some lawyer starts trolling for clients and uses this law to shake people down. Shitbag lawyers have used laws meant to protect the disabled to sue store owners for minor infractions like a sink being 1" too high in the bathroom.
