Same here...BUT YOU CAN'T SMOKE IN THE BARS.

I mean, seriously, what the fuck? I think alcohol tastes nasty, and I don't smoke, but Jesus H. Christ, even I find that law retarded.

God bless California where they dont give two shits about religion. I can get trashed any time up till 2am any day of the week and if the bars closed for the day for some ungodly reason, i can go get a bottle of cheap crap at the minimart and still get plastered. a big :mfinger: :mfinger: :mfinger: :mfinger: To christians and their insane laws.

I don't hate Christians, specifically those who practice tolerance and don't try to force-feed their beliefs on others.

I hate the fact that there is a LAW passed based on a religious concept. I can't think of another one that is still on the books. There really needs to be a separation of church and state. You just can't pick and choose which religion to support and toss around laws to do so.

Whatever happened to separation of church and state? That's why parochial schools are mostly not funded by the government. That's why we had to take praying out of schools. So where is it for this particular case? That's truly lame....well, think I'm going to go have a glass of wine now.

Just buy your liquor on Saturday, drink it on Sunday, and don't worry about the Bible Belt and the stupid laws created because of it.

You didn't read my first post. ;)

I didn't need to buy it on Saturday because I thought I'd be spending New Year's Eve with my kids out of town. When the plans changed on SUNDAY, I thought I could pick up a bottle of wine or something for myself and the hubby, but well, you know the rest.

I read your first post, I just happen to be one of those people who always buys a bottle of Jack or some other kind of liquor on Saturday. I only do this because I know the store will be closed on Sunday. The bitch of it all is that the liquor store closes a 9 pm everywhere around here.

Ah, well with the exception of the past month, I'm typically a very rare drinker. I never stock anything because it would collect dust for months and I just don't keep it around.

If it makes you feel any better we can't buy liquor on Sundays here in Texas either. Kind of ironic conisdering our current president is an alcoholic. I would've thought one of his first bills passed would've been to leave liquor stores open on Sunday. Now maybe the fact that we can still buy beer and wine from grocery stores keeps him statisfied is why that bill was never passed but who knows. ;)

Or maybe he uses Air Force One to fly to Amsterdam during celebratory days and gets jacked on all the other "substances" he does!
