Fuckin IE7

I swithced to FF for tabbed browsing, but I went back to IE when 7 came out and tried that. Fresh install of Windows, fresh IE7, and it kept crashing while browsing things like OT for example. So I'm staying away from it for good.

And it only uses less memory because it is built into the OS which is already loaded, so it just loads a little more info to browse the net.

Why can't you use Opera and Thunderbird?

Me, I'm still getting used to Opera. The widgets are nice and all, but the the menu layout of FF is better, as is the ability to not always have the download window always popping up (as it does in Opera.)

well, after the support for opera, i decided to give it a try. i think its a lil slower than firefox, but it might just be because its newly installed. one thing, for opera users, are the thread titles in OT centered? i opened it and was like, wtf is going on. i don't like that.....

My list was in order of stock functionality (no 3rd party programs). Firefox and Opera were a tossup for me, but I should have probably reversed the two. I'm so used to using my own custom Firefox installer that I forgot that Firebug wasn't stock with Firefox.

Personal preference:
Maxthon > Firefox > Opera > IE6 > IE7 > *

I like to use Maxthon for every day tasks because it uses the least amount of memory, and it offers enough functionality to be worthwhile. Firefox is excellent for web development because of Firebug. Opera is great for compliance verification. IE6/IE7 are only on the list because I use them to make sure everything looks okay.

I keep portable versions of all of these browsers on my pen drive.

the ooonly thing Firefox does better than Opera is the Find. . . feature. Some of the stuff I do makes Opera tedious; if they did it like firefox I'd use it without question.

Yes. Try downloading some files and see how you feel.

Go and download some widgets, like the desktop clock or calendar.

But what really is a nice hat trick is the opening page with website blank blocks in them. Drag your favourites to them. Your favourites are now one click away, instead of searching from the bookmarks.

I just picked up Opera. I've been using IE7, unhappy with periodic delays, went to Firefox, unhappy with memory leaks, went to Opera.

Opera fucking rocks. The best part is 'speed dial'

I was surprised that Maxthon is the old MyIE2. Somehow I just never got used to MyIE2.

What do you mean by "portable versions" on your pen drive?

yeah, i noticed that. and i did DL some widgets. got the aquarium, to do list, some webcams from the zoo, lol. it really is a cool feature, but, i went back to firefox because hotmail wouldn't work. it would keep telling me i wasn't allowing cookies, even though i was. i checked the opera forums, many people seem to have this issue, but i tried the fix and it still didn't work. if it wasn't for the msn/hotmail issue, i would have stayed with opera.
