Firefox is overrated too. (I know i'm going to get flamed for this, but) check out Opera - it's a superior browser to either of those.

I'd put IE 6 as better than firefox. Tab browsing wasn't worth the bloat. Of the big three, only Opera's given me tabbed browsing and the ability to run multi-day sessions without a lockup. The others break shortly after waking up from Hibernate.

IE7 almost broke my laptop. It hasn't run correctly since...even after I uninstalled it (yes it's possible).

FireFox is a really good browser, I use it exclusively now.

I wouldn't notice. Another forum I frequent is all screwed up with the "marked as read" flag cookie sessions, so I frequently close the browser.

Opera is really *the* standalone browser unless you want to include mozilla's outlook compatibility.

Firefox eats memory like Kristie Alley eats....whatever, but at least it's stable -- IE7 kept biting the dust at the most inopportune times.

IE7 Reminds me of firefox, but I just cant make the switch.

Get the IE extension. Then you can right click and 'Open in IE tab".

Yea IE7 is incompatible with Ghey Porn, sorry - works fine for the rest of us though.

So far I have had 3 machines which blew up IE7 after doing the updates. The culprit may be 'Security Update for Windows Internet Explorer 7, KB931768. The problem may be ieframe.dll. In one instance it was an AMD64 desktop, in another an Intel laptop, in another an Intel desktop.
