You know when you go to bed and you actually think that you are going to get a decent night of sleep? That would have been the case for me last night but noooooooo, mother nature has to make a giant ass severe storm to come fuck my town in the ass at about 3:30-4 in the morning.
Normally I don't mind storms, except now the place that I live has no basement, no common gathering area on the lowest area of my building, just a stair case to my front door and my bathroom in the event that mother nature decides she ever wants to send a tornado my way.
Anyways, for about an hour before the storm actually fucking hit, I was woken up by intense lighting and loud ass thunder. The lighting was pretty bad ass and wish I could have gotten some pictures of it, at times there were several bolts striking the ground somewhere off in the distance and lighting the sky up like it was mid afternoon.
I turned on the weather channel just to check out what the deal was and I see a nice big line of red on the radar heading straight for my town. I'm dead tired and with no actual warnings out I went to lay back down and try and go back to sleep. A few minutes later I hear a large pop and my power shuts down. Luckily it came back within about 2 minutes so I turned on my tv again and NOW they say there's a sever thunderstorm warning? Really, you couldn't have fucking issued that 10 minutes BEFORE the storm got to my town?
Power flickers again, and again......aaaand again. I happen to look out my window to see exactly how bad it is as it sounds like my building is being pounded by fucking rocks. I see two things, one of them being the cover on my motorcycle is about to go flying the fuck off and get tangled up god knows where. The more unnerving sight is that the sky is FUCKING GREEN. Pretty much every time I've ever seen a green sky during a storm I've heard the tornado sirens go off.
So now I'm sitting in my apartment just waiting to hear the sirens and pondering just where I'm gonna go in my apartment to kiss my ass goodbye when I see on tv that there is a tornado south of where I am. That just did not help especially since it was part of the same line and that the rain/wind was constantly shifting from what I could see from my window. Thank god that there wasn't a tornado here, and now that it's quieted down I would normally just go back to bed but I have a fucking quiz for my summer class this morning in a few hours. This was the only reason I actually tried to get a decent nights sleep because I need to do well in this course to get accepted into my major. Now I get to take it on about maybe 4 hours of sleep.
I swear to god if it was possible I would cunt punt mother nature for her shenanigans. Oh and guess what, this shit is supposed to go on for the next several days! YIPEEE!
