Fuck You, Bank.

nothing special

;953545']That's right, I said it- FUCK YOU. Next time I hear about a bank being robbed and people being shot the fuck up, I'm going to pray to Jesus that it was you. That movie Heat kicked ass. I fucking hate you. I hope you all get breast, testicular, ovarian, face, and butthole cancer all at the same time. I hope any womenfolk or small womanly men you care about get raped by someone on fire. I hope God shits on you. I hope your kids fuck people for drugs. I hope you die alone in a nursing home and no one has the compassion to smother you and put you out of your misery.

Why, motherfuckers? Because today, somehow, my wallet vanishes. I've walked streets and checked with every store, even with the military police and Staff Duty officers. I've scoured my truck and almost ripped the console out. The only logical explanation is that somehow it fell out of my pocket, someone found it, and kept it. The logical response is to call and report it... and get another one rushed to me- because Daddy Hos gots bills to pay.

$31.50 for the card, and another cock-smashing $31.50 for the PIN. Top that off with a $5.00 fee for processing the missing/stolen card. Total that up- Yeah, $68.00, asshole. Is it worth $5.00 to type down some bullshit and send it up? What the fuck?

DIE. If not for my potential as a great contributor in the success of humanity, I'd shoot the place up myself.

Oh man, what bank are you using? I've never had to pay for a lost/stolen card and pin.

I'm sorry someone took your wallet. Maybe whoever found it will at least return it/mail it to you with your cards and license and such in it. There are still good people out there, somewhere. Even if they take the cash, it's better than not getting any portion of it back at all. :/

I have also never had to pay for a lost/stolen card report. I've had to pay for new cards, but not for reporting one missing/stolen.

That's an awesome retard of a bank you have thar.

This is why I do not use banks. Ever. I have cash and I don't want any money in the bank. Ever. I don't lose my money. I don't have cards to worry about. I take with me what I might need and keep the rest hidden at home. It works better than the bank, and if the economy takes a hurdling nosedive and banks get fucked, I'll still have ALL of my money, I won't be stuck with useless plastic.

;953559']This is all after me explaining why I can't just "pack up and head over to the bank tommorow". Somehow the concept of being in the military and having obligations (like oh, getting a new ID card, driver's liscense, and a FUCKING TOP SECRET COURIER CARD THAT ALLOWS ME TO CARRY TOP SECRET INFORMATION THAT COULD AFFECT NATIONAL SECURITY, MILITARY AND CIVILIAN SAFETY, AND MATERIEL).

Hostile, I would leave that bank. I've never been charged for a replacement card, and never even heard of PIN charges before.

lol

FDIC actually works, you know? Your plastic won't become useless even if the bank goes under. You should be more worried about losing money from your investments and securities than anything else right now.

As for hording all your money in a shoebox like a paranoid old lady, not everyone can get away with that. Most adults tend to have savings, investments (even if only a 401k or IRA) and lines of credit. You'll see once you stop living check to check and try to purchase a new car, property or a home, just how silly hording your money away at home is. Banks and credit are not bad things, you just have to use some common sense.

;953601']Not even if you had to overnight it to you? And even then, shouldn't there at least be some discount/waiver of fee for military in that situation?

I mean, it's not like I keep a checkbook around. I have to pay bills and handle business with my money, I can't wait a week.

And yes, the stashing it at home.

Being money ahead is awesome. Great, wonderful, but if your house burns down or you get robbed, you're fucked.

That's where Jung's FDIC comment enters. The bank can get robbed, nuked, and obliterated, and you still get money via the FDIC. It's free. Most checking accounts are free. That means you get free insurance. Free. Insurance. For no money... because it's free.

You're basically saying that you don't want free stuff, so you keep your money in your house.
