I managed to fuck up my right knee this morning. I was going down the stairs and my left knee popped, which caused me to lose stability and bend my right knee is some weird way. I still can't believe I missed the rail like a fucking lummox. Now it hurts right under my kneecap and I can't put pressure on it. There goes my Mardi Gras plans.
A little back story... I tore cartilage in my left knee playing Football in high school, but never had surgery. They said I could chance a 6 month recovery or have surgery and be out for at least a year, so my parents and I decided on the shorter recovery. In hindsight, this probably wasn't he best ideas as I now have a piece of cartilage that floats around in my knee and causes it to pop sometimes if it gets under the kneecap. It's generally not painful, but it causes me to stumble sometimes - like this morning.
I have it iced down right now and I'm sucking down scotch and some amazing weed to help with the paint, but I'm (irrationally) trying to hold off from going get x-rays. I'm hoping it's just hyper-extended, but the pain and location feel all too familiar.
Fuck
