I may not like what you have to say a lot of the time, but I still think you're pretty smart and can do whatever you set your mind to.
 
I wish someone would tell me for once that I'm an average person and I can do anything the average person sets their mind to. I'm not intelligent, if I was I would have proven that by now.
 
No, I'm not clearly intelligent. You're full of shit. If I was intelligent, I definitely would have done something to prove it by now. Being intelligent isn't something you're born, it's something you become. You're born with potential. I threw all mine away, so I'm not intelligent now as a result.
 
No, you're wrong. To me you are intelligent when you come up with your own outtake on things. When you devise your own stance on things. I don't believe intelligence is something that can be learned or attained, except by time and experience.

You are intelligent to me. Your own definition defies you anyway. You haven't come up with a solution because you have weighed the options and consequences of "solving" your problems. If you just did everything that was told then that wasn't really using intelligence, not saying doing that makes someone unintelligent, mind you. I'm saying that you have been waiting for whatever it is to make you comfortable to take the proper steps for yourself. That is extremely intelligent.

Anyway, you have proven your intelligence on these forums to damn near everyone by the thoughts you have expressed (even if they are not the most diplomatically or tactfully done) here. Most people here are fairly intelligent so trust me that if they are telling you you are, then you should definitely believe them (I'm not talking about myself here either, I've seen many people call you intelligent).

Lampy man, listen up... I bet you are intelligent, REAL intelligent. Yet, I bet there's something that caused my life to be a steaming pile-o'-shit for quite some time. I had a real bad lack of common sense. See, some people ARE intelligent, and they seem to get everything they do just right. Those people have good common sense. People like us however are really intelligent (hell there's even times we come across as regular fuckin' Einsteins), but when we're in the moment everything we do or touch turns to shit. That is a lack of common sense. It's nothing that can be treated, except by keeping an eye on your actions and yourself. Trust me... it just takes time to over come these idiotic actions that we produce.

And hey... ANYBODY can do anything they put their mind to, most just don't.
 
Intelligence is a combination of being able to reason and being creative. You have both. What you lack is knowledge and ambition, neither of which reflects intelligence. Some very intelligent people do poorly at school because a) they're not challenged enough mentally and grow bored, b) aren't encouraged enough by teachers and parents and c) can't find the motivation to do the busy work that makes up 90% of the grades.
 
Sorry Lamp lol. I was reading between the lines on your post prior to that. It seems you are using your "problems" to show your lack of evidence of ("proving yourself") of being intelligent.

I can't seem to put it into coherent terms for some reason... sorry. Well that, and I was extremely tired when I posted that and I think I just ranted everything I had on my mind about you instead of sticking to the argument. :happysad:
