You can always ask for an interview with a different manager. Or you could point out to her that she doesnt need to feel that you are attacking her or trying to make her wrong when you say ... then lead in with your explanation.

There are many ways to defuse the situation. The ultimate would be to find another temp job as stated above and wait till there is another openning and meanwhile take another class or 2.
 
As I said, school is pretty much out of the question due to finances, credit, and income.

I'm going to post to it again, like nothing ever happened. In the meantime, I'm going to hope for the other position and I found out that she is not the interviewing manager, but she is in the department, and I'm sure someone I'll be working closely with...
