I had a double fusion a week ago. The post op was awful. My morphine was leaking onto the floor for at least a day and I was in agony, the pharmacy was constantly getting my psych meRAB wrong and on and on.

I mentioned to the Occupational Therapist and the Physical Therapist who were both very helpful that I have chronic fatigue and might not be able to do as much as they say I should, which is a LOT. Way more than I was doing before surgery and I exercise as much as I can, as I have my whole life. But they make it seem like a life or death thing that I walk 4x a day for blocks at a time, sit for an hour after each time, do a lot of auxiliary exercises (which are very helpful) etc. but I'm crashing here.

I can see how moving around frequently is good all around. I just can't do what normal people can. I feel under the gun because if anything goes wrong or doesn't fuse, they'll blame me for not doing enough. But in fact I'm doing a lot for me, probably way too much. When I say 'chronic fatigue' they hear 'blah blah'.

Anyone been in this situation?
