front turn signal

I'm trying to replace my front turn signals on my 2006 Boulevard C90. UPS guy tipped my bike over and broke the stock one. After market signals were cheaper so I bought them. I can't get the stock ones off. Anyone have any pointers on getting them off?
 
1st. Remove headlight

2nd. Remove screw on the ends and under signal bar.

3rd. Cut zip tie underneath headlight

4th. Unplug leads inside headlight assembly, mark them so you can remember left from right.

5th. Remove signal and feed wires through rear slot in signal bar.

6th. Installation is reverse

Not bad for a white kid from Minnesota, EHH
