after having a indy install a set of apes.and chrome switch housings and a aftermarket brake resevoir that uses dot5 fluid iv noticed a rubbing sound coming from the front brakes, when the brake lever is even slightly pulled the rubbing sound stops..beside the obvious of taking the bike back and risking a extended stay and ideas of what may be a simple fix?..and also what type of wrench or socket is needed for the caliper bolts? i had schoulder sergery a week after the ape instal and havent ridden till recently so im afraid they wont wanna make good on there repair so figure if its a simple fix ill do it myself

I didn't see what year you are talking about , but the older brake calipers need to have the pistons cleaned often , if they are not then they won't retract all the way.. they socket is just a 12 point socket, think it is a 10mm but I don't remember for sure.
To clean the pistons I use an old tooth brush, and break clean spray, and I then spray them with spray graphite, this keeps new stuff from sticking to the pistons.
