Yes...for the most parts. All of these ripoff films are only about twice the length of the trailers for them. And they are, of course, only on the internet.
I always worry for the guy doing the voiceover in those trailers. He sounds dead inside.... or a victim of a forced lobotomy. His voice is just flat and soulless, like he knows he's selling crap but can't do anything about it because his children are being held hostage off camera.
Ignorant parents who know little about these movies other than they're CGI and star cars, mice and robots and they just need a babysitter for their kids.
This is where parents who are cartoon buffs can come in handy: Cutting through the crap to give their children something that will still capture their attention (and play babysitter) but is a quality production to boot, so the parents will enjoy watching it too. Unlike these pale knock-offs with animation that looks like it came from the late '80s.
These are jokes, but probably not in the way you mean. These show up in the cheap-o bins, and I had the great misfortune to ask, "How bad can Ratatoing really be?"
I am still trying to figure out how to work off the negative karmic balance generated by the fact that I have somehow GIVEN MONEY to these people and implicitly sent the message that the public supports their works. I don't think that review qualifies.
There are many things about YouTube that will become clear on reading the rules instead of making blanket statements of our policy that are almost completely inaccurate. I also said much about our YouTube policy elsewhere, and will refer you there for more clarification.
