Friend Charged with mischeif help?

Me and my friend were out one night and i was driving and he decided to break some 2L of pop bottles on som1s driveway that was sitting outside, well i guess it turned out they were full of oil and the driveway he smashed em on was a cops driveway and some witnesses inside the house got my lisence plate, i already went in and gave a witness report about the issue and my friend is going in tommorow and the cop said he was likely to be charged with mischeif, although i got off with nothing for now because he already left my car when it happend, but im just wondering what he will get with a mischeif charge, would it be like a fine, community service or would he have to go to court for it. BTW its already been ruled out as being a hate crime considering we had no clue it was a cops house and had no connection or anything to him before the date. thanks for the help
