Does anyone have any idea whether the earlier "Friday" films have been on T.V?
I know for a fact that the bbc have shown "Friday The 13th Parts 6 & 8" a few times because I remember recording them onto video.

As far as I know I don't think they have shown the earliest ones...Why?

Are they considered to violent?

"Friday The 13Th"

I think they have all been on Sky and BBC at one point.

Worth noting is that the only complete uncut one available is Part 1.

The unrated version is on R2 dvd from Warner.

The rest from Paramount are cut R rated versions.

Unfortunately for US viewers Part 1 is also owned by Paramount so their dvd collection even has an R rated version of part 1.

There are some gory bits in the extras but full uncut versions of some of them were on VHS in the UK at one point.

Many of them are either

Yes, I bought parts 1-8 yesterday from hmv.
All in all together with a discount code it came to about

I know BBC1 has shown the first "Friday the 13th" movie. The only reason i know this is because it was the first time i had seen the movie.

Paramount are pretty lazy when it comes to putting effort into dvd's.

The readily available R rated theatrical cuts would have been easier to get hold of than unreleased uncut versions.

Its annoying that some of the gory cuts are included as extras.

No doubt in order to maximise profits there will be yet another boxset with the uncut versions included.

I think a complete box on R2 may be impossible as Warner own the UK rights to Part 1

Friday 13th was a classic in it's day. Only 3 films ever made me jump out my seat and this was one (the end), Carrie (the end), and Jaws (head scene).

Don't worry all, because the remake is already being plotted!! (Yawn)

They were all shown on Sc-fi channel late last year around october ,noverber time they shown the first one then the 2nd one the next day and so on till they were all shown.
