Friday the 13th remake

I believe so... :)

It's mixing the first few films I think, apparently. Plus Jason is the killer in the film and not his
mother
this time around like in the original, who isn't in sight according to test audiences, just
her
voice.

Looks good to me.

I liked the TCM remake (and prequel) much more than most remakes, and this is made by the same team.

There was maybe only 3 or 4 decent FT13th movies out of 10,but not great movies. So I have no problem with this 'reimagining'.

Director Marcus Nispel missed the point of Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre by a country mile.

I wouldn't bet on Jason Voorhees getting better treatment.

I've heard it's about his mother in the beginning and then turns around to being Jason the killer. It's kind of a combination of Friday 13th part 1 and 2.

I'm no big fan of remakes but I'm going to give it a chance. The Halloween remake was horrendous though.

Well unlike Halloween, the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the Omen, the original Friday 13th was complete crap so a remake might actually improve it.

The zenith of Friday 13th imho was part 4, which was also total crap but about as good as the series got (the other good one, part 6, was a different kind of film).

I thought the end of part one, where Jason appears, was a lot better than the rest of the film deserved.

I like the original Friday 13th purely because of it's simplicity. It's like an old fashioned camp fire story but played out in movie form, and although I can see how it doesn't work for everyone, it works for me and the cheapness of it just makes it more effective.

I actually dislike the sequels and what they do with Jason. The simplicity of the original movie is what makes it special.
