Freshwater aquarium fish from ontario?

hey 
it depends on how long you want to keep it for.
most fish only grow to be the size of the tank anyways so i would say most little fish like perch sunfish ect.
but i no that i had a baby catfish in a 10 gallon tank and i had it for 3 years until i decided to let him back into the bay. do you know what lake you are closest too? i was close to lake ontario but then i moved and now i fish off of lake huron. hope all this helps
