Free Preview of Superchannel HD on Bell TV

When I first got Movie Central, I got it to watch movies. Now I have only 1 movie channel and HBO1 and 2. I'm thinking of just dumping Movie Central and get Super Channel 1 and 2 HD. I find that I have stopped watching Movie Central because they keep showing the same films over and over again for months, I have seen all the movies on that channel that interest me long ago.

So is it as easy as I say to drop one (MC) and pick up SC1&2HD, can this be done via internet?
 
Not much of a Xmas treat. The only movies of interest I've seen in the EPG are the four Alien(s) movies on the 26th.
 
Those two channels are gone as of this posting. Had them for a couple weeks but now they are nowhere to be seen in the guide (in all channels mode).

Should I ask for a ping on my receiver?

When was the free preview supposed to end?
 
Just because you go to "Show All" in the Guide you still do not see all the Channels.
 
I see the HBO Hd channels in RED but none of the superchannels. Point is I used to have both superchannels in preview and now they are gone.
 
I think Superchannel is going to fail. They've improved but there is no comparison to TMN (in the East).

...and the free preview continues...any word on how long this free preview is due to last?
 
If you don't mind loosing the HBO channels then yes, it is that easy. HBO comes exclusively with MC (or TMN in the east). The thing is, i'm quite sure you can only add channels online, not remove them unless you use the "chat" feature and have an agent remove the MC channels and add Super Channel in its place for you.

So just to be clear... You cannot have just the HBO and Super Channels on your account because HBO comes in the Movie Central (or TMN) package only, but if as you said you're mainly interested in watching movies anyway it might be worth the switch for you.

If the two channels are still on free preview and you want them I'm sure bell tv will fix you up if you call.
 
How is Super Channel not up to that of MC. I'm thinking at least Super Channel has 2 HD movie compared to 1 for MC
 
Call again at lunch about 1h ago.

channels not even seen in the guide at all, showing all channel, but 843 and 844 not there.

Last night bell, told me that, the free preview was confirmed until january 29, today, the guy told me there were not, and the last free preview on those channel was in 2007 ???

but anyway, he told me that a was going to rehit again, and that if it works, fine and if not,,,, just too bad he said !!!

Does anyone knows he rehit thru the bell website is free ???

They are gone now. 843 for sure(had timer preset to watch "dead like me"@ 2:30pm est) and 844.
 
I thought it would last to the 29th of January. Now that I can use an external HD on my 6141 I have been recording a few movies on this channel. Slim pickings. I know they are in a free view right now, but I certainly wouldn't pay for this poor excuse for a pay tv movie channel.
 
I think in order to 'see' all the channels, you have to go to the menu, then locks.
This will let you see all channels in numerical order.
 
Channels are no longer showing in my EPG either, even under "All Channels". I can understand the channels disappearing from my "subscribed" list or any personalized favorites list, but they shouldn't have disappeared from the "All Channels" list if they are still available by subscription now that the free preview has presumably ended.
