Forgive me, but I think I fully understood what was being said:

Subscribers that had 4 HD themes (everything except More HD Variety) at a price point of 10$, would be getting More HD Variety for free for a year.

This means that people paying 10$ are getting 5 HD Themes for the price of 4.

My question is, do customers who pay 15$ for all 5 HD themes get the 5$ credit for a year as well? If not, could you downgrade to 4 themes at 10$ and get the benefit of More HD Variety for free for a year?

I never understood why Bell TV customers never complain about credits when it came to free previews of channels you already pay for.

Most of the time, it is only a couple of channels a month, but in this case it is an entire theme pack for an entire year!!

60$ in my pocket is a lot better than in Bell's.

If someone knows for sure what the impact is for customers with 5 HD Themes, it would be greatly appreciated.
 
It doesn't look like channel 330 IFC is not in preview at least not in October. I found the most up to date list of Bell TV Channels at the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bell_TV_channels
 
I don't have the Silver Screen free preview either. I don't show 285 or 377 in my guide. I tried to call bell but they're closed.
 
I do have a subscription, but I have a couple of receivers that are not active but have been updated with the new smart cards and software, I keep these receivers hooked up and power them up every few months in-case software upgrades. These receivers get the barker channels and the free previews, just a note for those of you who want something for nothing!
 
Did anybody get today's Jays game? I tuned in on 1398 at 4:30 game may have been over just saw the free preview Ad thought maybe I'd get the post game that was showing on the guide. Called Bell, as usual they didn't know why I wasn't getting it. Said game was over try tomorrow at 7pm. Asked the rep when the preview was over will I get the Jays in my current Package and guess what he didn't know. He was not sure what sport pack they were going to be including it with.
 
Jays channel 398sd and 1398hd are just temporary channels set up to show the jays while Rogers Sports Net shows the memorial cup which is over next sunday May 23rd.
 
Anyone know which package CNNHD is in for when the preview ends? I don't seem to find it on bell's site.

I got an email telling me how to get the missing channels..I'll post it here in case anyone is interested. No, I didn't try it....
 
I am having Bell installed in a couple weeks. I was planning on getting a package with 4 them packs and one of them was going to be More HD Variety. Am I reading this correctly in that I should subscribe to the other 4 and I will get this one free? When does the free preview end?

@SnooPac - I'm not a Bell TV customer (I have Shaw Digital Cable), so sadly, we don't have CNN-HD yet :( but my Uncle has it, and he said he received a letter from Bell saying:
"I would like to inform you that if you add the News and Learning 1 theme pack to your Bell TV account then you can get the free CNN HD. You do not need to add the HD theme pack to get it."
 
Not sure this fits this thread, but the "More HD Variety" theme pack just showed up on my guide without warning. I called Bell and was told that existing qualifying customers who have the "4 HD Themes" package without the "More HD Variety" theme, would be getting it for free for one year.

A pleasant surprise indeed
 
oops I wrote this on the wrong thing. It's on Shaw where ONE is on free preview.

November free previews are listed both on channels 230 and 887 if you are willing to wait long enough to see them.
 
Setanta Sports has a Free Preview on Channel 420 Until November 29th. Wow a whole 2 days.
