I called Bell TV yesterday about a missing channel which I am know getting. They told that I could have all the movie channels free for one month because I was considered one of their valued customers. This includes all premiums movie channels, more movies and the superchannel movie channels. I took it my intension is to cancel them after the month is over.

Bell seems to have two feeds of Silver Screen Classics, one on 337(signal coming from 82 sat.)and the other on 285 (signal coming from 91 sat.)

Both are working for me,but I do subscribe to it.

Hey Lindsay, any idea what the channel numbers are? I just tried looking for them but no luck.

I think it would be great if a topic like this was made into a sticky and updated each time free previews change. It's hard to keep track of!

Be aware that's not what was said. I would be amazed if Bell did what you are suggesting. It doesn't make much sense to me either but it is what it is. I'll be watching my bill very carefully for any unanticipated new fees

716, 717, 718 ( Fairchild - Cantonese), 719 ( Talentvision - Mandarin )
on preview until May 1

once again bell slips this in unannounced

do they actually have a marketing department ?

Called Bell about missing 285, Silver Screen Classics, they stated it was on 337 which I said I am not getting. Then came rebooting, check switching, etc, etc, followed by authorization of all my receivers still nothing. From my perspective it would appear someone has forgotten to authorize the channel as a free preview! Maybe a few of you could give them a gentle reminder!

I think it would be even better if Bell actually used their "Updates" channel 230 to display this info like they used to.

Bell plays the shell game by shuffling packages around to get you to make changes. You can be sure it will always cost you more.

According to Jays channel 398 (1398 HD) the following 7 games are available as a free preview:

Fri, May 14: 7 pm Texas @ Toronto
Sat, May 15: 1 pm Texas @ Toronto
Sun, May 16: 1 pm Texas @ Toronto
Mon, May 17: 7 pm Minnesota @ Toronto
Wed, May 19: 10 pm Toronto @ Seattle
Fri, May 21: 9:30 pm Toronto @ Arizona
Sun, May 23: 4 pm Toronto @ Arizona

The following Channels are in Free Preview:

TCM 292 until March 1st
CNN international 511 until March 28th
TCMHD 1283
CNNHD 1578

Not sure how long the HD Free Preview will last I assume they will be that same as SD. I don't own a HD TV yet.

Is the "independent films channel" also on free prevew? If so, it looks to be a variation on the "if a tree falls in the forest" theme, i.e. is a channel really on free preview if you can't tune it in? In particular, IFC is channel 330, but none of my receivers (9242, 9200, two 6100s) show channel 330 in the on screen guide. Same deal as TSN2 - see:

Not sure I can be bothered to call Bell to get a channel for a few weeks that I doubt I'll watch/subscribe to. Annoying, nonetheless.

Hey I just noticed that BEV has two new info channels one is 271 and tells what free previews there are right now the other is 272 and tells what new channels there are.

btw we're not getting ONE either.
