Free Preview Discussion

They give a free preview I think only once a year, I doubt you would be able to call in and request a free preview since many people would do that just to see a certain game.




They finished up in the US end of February but here in Canada they have more subscribers than they had in the entire US, say they are profitable, and Rogers owns a majority in Setanta Canada anyway.
 
The HD versions of RDS and V are also in free preview... with freeview scheduled to end just after the olympics! Awesome!
 
Just noticed that The World Fishing Network WFN Channel 419 is having a Free Preview until July 4th.
 
I guess they limit the free previews to the sports channels only, because I got the movie packages free for a month.
 
The only possible free previews I can think of, if Bell adds the channel, would be History HD, rumoured to be launched on Oct 26.

Also Nickelodeon Canada if added on Nov 1.
 
ok maybe then i should try to drop more hd variety, and pick up hd variety :).
if it doesnt work, i think i can live without those 3 channels for a month.

a little pre christmas gift hope they have some good games this week it better then watching the leafs loose
 
As reported on another thread Al Jazeera English is now available on bellTV ch 516 not sure how long the preview will be
 
Not sure , but I can only assume that if you don't have it by now, then you don't qualify. BellTV mailed out a letter to qualifying recipients on May 16th, so if you didn't get one, I guess you don't qualify. The channels showed up unannounced before I received the letter, and it confirms what I said before. It's for subscribers to the "4 HD Theme packs for $10", but who didn't choose More HD Variety. Maybe it's the channel owner(s) themselves that are behind it.
 
A little update on the promotion where some of us got 5 HD themes for the price of 4 as a "gift" for one year.

If you are one of them be sure to check your latest bill. While they did as promised and charged the full $15 then applied a credit of $5, they didn't do that for last months bill. I was hit with a pro-rated charge which amounted to $7.13 for the previous billing period.

I called BellTV Billing Dept and, in all fairness, the CSR admitted it was an error and applied a credit, but it won't show till my next bill. They said the computer automatically generates these charges.

Hopefully no-one will fail to notice it on their bill and end up overpaying.
 
That's probably accurate, but for some reason TSN seems to have allowed all their soccer properties to go elsewhere. Methinks the penny-pinchers at CTV might have something to do with it. Maybe they put all there eggs into the Olympic basket. Plus they need to keep airtime open for the big stuff like poker and bowling
 
There are a couple of free previews in October, a few channels from the More Movies theme pack.
