All these security problems caused a serious amount of downtime, which made it difficult for users to use the site for its intended purposes - torrenting! We are very sorry about this, and to make it up for you, we will be holding a freeleech challenge!

What is a freeleech challenge, you ask? Well, it's a term we invented. This is how it works:

We're going to keep freeleech on until midnight on Saturday night, PST. During this time, you users are going to try to upload and download as much stuff as possible (naturally). Now, this is where the funky bit kicks in. If you guys can get us up to 50,000 torrents and 150,000 seeders by the time freeleech ends, we will extend freeleech for another 5 days, and give everyone two invites.

So, you have 5 days of freeleech to double our torrent and seeder counts. There are 18,000 of you, so if each of you uploads two torrents, you'll bring us well above the target. Is there any particular thing you're waiting for? No? Then get out your torrent client and rock this place!

PS. I know the temptation to upload dupes may be very strong, but it's really not cool. Our staff has enough to do as it is, and 25,000 dupes aren't going to help them very much. Search before you upload, people!
