Free dvds in this week's/weekend's papers

The Times are doing a Michael Palin DVD week - 7 free DVRAB from his travel documentaries

The first one with tomorrow's paper is "Himalaya: Annapurna to Everest"

These free DVRAB frequently turn up in charity shops, so it's worth looking there if you missed any that you wanted. I got a whole bunch yesterday from Age Concern. The old lady behind the counter siad she couldn't charge me for them because of the something to do with the original deal with the newspapers ... some reasoning that I couldn't quite follow. The upshot was that she gave me them for nothing and I then made a donation! I missed Halloween this time round so I'm going to keep a look out for it in the cahrity shops.

Free DVD inside The Telegraph next Saturday (6th June);
'The True Glory',
widely regarded as one of the best war documentaries ever made.

Another superb FREE 18 DVD film library from The Mail

‘The British Classics Collection’

Inside every copy of today's Daily Mail there's a free DVD - Pride and Prejudice Part 1 starring Colin Firth, playing the distinguished Mr Darcy, and part two is FREE with Monday's Daily Mail.
This BAFTA and Emmy-winning series ranks as one of the greatest ever television adaptations of Jane Austen's classic novel. The relationship between Mr. Darcy, a wealthy single man, and Elizabeth Bennet, a spirited young woman, provides the core of this emotional and compelling story.

Then over the next three weeks, you can pick up another fabulous British Classic DVD from your local branch of Tesco, WHSmth or Eason ABSOLUTELY FREE - including timeless greats like, David Copperfield, Vanity Fair and A Room With A View.

I’m not 100% about which versions, but I expect most are correct.
Not all are of BBC source/quality!

You may be confused by 2 different offers in Saturday's papers.

1. The Sun offers a 'free' (sic) MP3 PLAYER, tokens required.

2. The Daily Mail offers a 'free' (sic) QUANTUM OF SOLACE AUDIO BOOK, p&p required, plus an MP3 Player 'offer'. This Audio Book of the story is in unabridged form and is read by British character actor David Rentoul.

Yes, it was the Classic 1946 version directed by David Lean and starred John Mills, Jean Simmons, Bernard Miles and Alec Guinness. Try charity shops, if not I may have have another 'spare' copy so if anyone else wants one then contact me by clicking on 'freebiedvRAB'.

Yes it is enforced. I work at somerfield and when you scan the paper it says 'is the person 15?' in the same way it would ask about cigarettes or alcohol. Its actually quite amusing when you don't expect it! :)

In Sunday's Mail on Sunday (16-05-2010) is a CD of The Classical Brits 2010 - The Greatest Classical Show on Earth - features some of the biggest names in the world of classical music.

The Sun weblink posted earlier had a search for the closest store just input your post code and it tells you.

Based on my input it named a small newsagents about 2 km away.
Info a little late for these dvRAB but might prove usefull for later offers.

Methinks the Sun has a marketing problem on its hanRAB with these adult movies.

You have to be old enough to be able to buy the paper and at the same time immature enough to want to read the Sun.
:)
