Free dvds in this week's/weekend's papers

Something similar happened quite a while ago locally when they did a "romance" collection. Our local Smith's literally had around a couple of dozen of DVRAB a day to give out. They had signs up everywhere apologising and asking people not to take it out on the staff. Some of the staff were getting terrible abuse. I suspect the few they did get were passed on from another branch or something.

As for the promotion I reckon the Mail will say they haven't claimed it is the whole series but the wording certainly suggests it is. Still can't quite work out the logic of giving away 14 out of 26 episodes though.
 
The NOTW one is misleading. It says on the DVD its in colour but its not, its the BBC Black and White coverage. What I found very interesting is that one says it is the most complete coverage in the BBC archive. Yet the DVD is only 113 minutes long. Given the match went in to extra time and there is a bit of build up etc on the DVD there must be a fair but missing. I always assumed the BBC would have a complete version.

If the Mail is giving away a colour one I guess its based on the official FIFA film. That one I always found difficult to watch because of the way it was filmed. A bit like Sky Sports Playercam where the camera is mainly on the individual player rather than the actual match itself.
 
Believe (but I may be wrong) it'll be Thursday. As for No Parlez,found it contains the same mixes as the cassette I bought at the time,but doesn't include 'Behind Your Smile',which was a bonus track on the tape.
 
hopefully it will be a token collect as well. its worth looking on ebay as well because i managed to get the tv icons collection the sun did a few weeks ago for only 2 pounRAB. lot less then it would have been if you buy the papers every day and send of.
