Next week Sunday 19th the MoS is giving away an absolute cracker - Murphy's War with Peter 0' Toole.
Saw this on its release in the early 70s and several times on telly.
Highly reccomended.

To commemorate the 65th anniversary of the D-Day landings this weekend, as well as 'The True Glory' in Saturday's Telegraph, free inside The Sunday Telegraph (June 7th) are 'In Which We Serve' starring Noel Coward and 'Reach For The Sky' starring Kenneth More, both of which have recently been given away by The Daily Mail.

National Geographic collection starting in The Telegraph tomorrow. Don't know the details but at least one tomorrow and Sunday. I'd guess a redeem job next week too?

Im a bit dubious of collecting dvRAB from papers now. I collected them all from the Mail & settled down to watch Pride & Predjudice ( one of my faves). I then found that on disc 2 the second scene would not play. So i had to bypass that just to finish watching it.

Sorry if you've already got any similiar threaRAB running (I don't visit 'movies' that often), but if not, how about using this thread to inform other forum members of upcoming freebies?

Free with this saturday's Independent

'Swimming With Sharks' starring Kevin Spacey.

Just a note about these Sun dvRAB. I watched Evil Dead yesterday:

Good points about the disc - no adverts at the start! The disc is anamorphic, and the print was good quality.

Bad points - no menu (no big deal, it's just something I'm used to now); no chapter points (as per usual with free dvRAB); and I couldn't fast forward for some reason, although it did allow me to rewind - weird. Maybe that's just my player.
Also, as Evil Dead fans will notice, this print has been cropped at the top and bottom to make it fit widescreen TVs. It was originally filmed in the 4:3 ratio, and this is noticeable in a couple of places.

Still, for 35p, you can't complain can you?

Think I'll buy The Guardian tomorrow then. Been threatening my friend with "The Wicker Man" for a while.

"And on that man there was a -" Damn that song!
