Free dvds in this week's/weekend's papers

If you were going to buy the paper anyway, then they are free, as they don't put the price of the paper up. If you only buy the paper for the DVD then technically it is still free, as you are primarily paying for the paper, the DVD is just something packaged with it
I know someone will be picky and say for it to be free, then there would have to be a freephone number that you could ring up, obtained by not having to buy the paper, but which newspaper would do this?

Anyone had trouble getting the Independent today? Apparently every single copy has been withdrawn, and I wanted the DVD with it

Just Le Boucher in The Independent really

Let's hope next week is good, and it's just not dying down because I'd rather have a free DVD than a free CD

There was a Life On Mars Season One Episodes 1 & 2 free with the Evening Standard, don't know if this is different to the one from last week

I just received my Winnie the Pooh collection in the post from The Mirror.
I'll go and get a Sun and send off for the Carry Ons, if they're not too expensive.

I AM VERY WARY OF 'THE SCOTSMAN' AS LAST WEEK THEY ADVERTISED A "FREE DVD" BUT AFTER BUYING IT YOU HAD TO APPLY ONLINE WITH YOUR ADDRESS AND PREFERENCES - AFTERWARRAB IT SAYS YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL "IF YOU HAVE WON" ONE OF 7,500 COPIES. IT SEEMS LIKE A CHEAP SCAM TO GET AN EMAIL MAILING LIST.

The Daily Mail like to sail close to the wind with their DVD giveaways. In recent months, some of the character designs used in their Fairytale DVRAB came dangerously close to infringing Disney's copyright. Also, in their Fantasy promotion Merlin: The Return was advertised as a sequel to the totally unrelated Merlin TV movie. Oh, and Hollywood Wives was a recent remake, rather than the blockbuster mini-series from the '80s..

At least they're trying to be a bit more honest with the Goldeneye / Golden Eye DVD.

I'm still smarting over the Gang of Eastern Europeans that hijacked the Lorry containing the Christmas "Sun" and Tony Christie's greatest Christmas hits ?

Although arrested their families now live in 5 bedroom mansions in Telford, Shropshire ?
