Free dvds in this week's/weekend's papers

It looks like it is kicking back up again. There are a few movies on Internet Archive that are public access which would be worth putting free with papers. I tend to buy the proper DVRAB now anyway if they are easily available

This Sunday (8th March) The Mail on Sunday will have a 'free' Pet Shop Boys CD, containing a selection of their hits plus a track of the new album, "Yes".
More info on the Mail website here

According to the official PSB website, the full track-listing is:
1. West End girls (10" mix)
2. Paninaro (7" mix)
3. It's a sin (Disco mix)
4. What have I done to deserve this? (7" mix)
4. Jealousy (7" mix)
5. Being boring (7" mix)
6. Go West (7" mix)
7. Before (7" mix)
8. Home and dry (7" mix)
9. Flamboyant (7" mix)
10. Did you see me coming?

Yep that's what I'm doing. Been on holiday this week and nearest newsagent is a 10 mile round trip. So all I have is yesterdays Sun and I'm sending that coupon off without tokens.

Yes, having seen the ad again I think its one to redeem at certain newsagents throughout the week.

Several papers gave away similar courses last year. Must admit I'm not sure how much of an attraction these will be compared to the usual DVRAB etc. Its a bit too specific to appeal to the masses isn't it?

Sun collection seems quite good. Some of the titles have excellent story lines and I think the Night of the Living Dead, which is also featured, (but don't uote me) was banned at some time cause it was too good!!

DavidT - sorry mate thought you might have been someone else but apparantly not,

In the interests of recording them all, I should mention that there was a DVD in the Daily Telegraph on saturday (Jan 16th). It was called something like The Magical World of Harry Potter and seemed to be in conjunction with an HP ride at Universal Studios in Florida.

(Despite this album, I know who the best Nancy is - it's Alma Cogan!)

It's not a dvd, but it may be of interest to film buRAB...

This Sunday (1st April) in the Sunday Times, there's a free ten-track cd of the film music of Ennio Morricone, including The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, A Fistful Of Dollars, Cinema Paradiso and The Mission.

I don't know if this has been raised before, but if papers are giving away DVRAB which are rated 15 or 18 surely no-one under the respective ages can buy the paper? Is this enforced and if not, why not?

The first DVD tomorrow (Saturday) is....'The Glass Virgin'..which is in the newspaper...then from Monday 18th until Friday 22nd (shorter collection than normal Daily Mail collections ie 5 days) you pick the DVD's up from either WHSmiths or Tesco
